The Smallest Art Gallery purchased the building next door & expanded in 2019 gallery space and classes.

Make sure to check out the Meander Map for our area’s Meander Artists – and take a beautiful drive enjoying art and the beauty of the Big Stone County fall colors!

While you’re in Ortonville Meander weekend, make sure to stop in at the Ortonville Flower Shop where their extended space will be packed with the “Downtown Art” group of six different artists!  Artists included are:  Deb Ammerman (jewelry, leather & beads); Carol Knutson (chip carving, porcelain dolls & quilting); Cathy Mueller-watercolor, oil, pen and ink, cards, and advent calendars; Claudia Sellin-local author with her book ‘You Can Be Anything You Want to Be! Says Who?’; Erlys Sis (fiber arts, wearable art, spirit dolls, state tea towels); and Tessie Smith (fiber artist, spinning, weaving, needle felting).

For those in the area, make sure to check out Arachne Yarns and More Newsletter (LINK) and the upcoming class Calendar (LINK)
Great to have so many art activities to connect with in the area!

Also, a great “Art” stop would be Ortonville Mercantile & Gallery (OMG) – they will also be featuring artist Nancy Nolop along with Mellisa O’Farrell Jewelry – and will also be displaying some of John White’s photography (John is also a “must stop” a bit north of Ortonville along the Meander –  Artist #39)

We have two highly recommended coffee shops (with lunch menu!) if you’d like a moment to rest along your Meander trail!

Other places to find (awesome) nourishment:  🙂

A few other highlights to check out while you’re in Ortonville: recently named Big Stone County the best County in Minnesota to retire in – specifically noting Ortonville’s Fairway View Senior Housing! (which you can see below located on our 18-hole municipal golf course)
