The City of Ortonville Parks & Recreation Board is creating this page to connect residents with the parks and activities that are available and also discussions and plans for future park updates and activities.  This is a new page – and more will be added soon!

2020 Summer Rec Program. 

Due to COVID-19, the Ortonville City Council has made the tough decision of canceling the Summer Rec program this summer; however, Director Jill Dale is working on an activity kit and summer challenges and activities to help keep kids active.  Watch for updates – coming soon!  Jill Dale’s email:

Summer Rec – Videos – As Jill is busy organizing the activities, she is reaching out for assistance from our local businesses – not for financial assistance but with a great (fun!) opportunity to connect with our youth through the summer rec program – check it out at this link!

Also, make sure to check out the opportunities with the Big Stone County 4-H!

Youth in grades K- 5 in Big Stone County and the surrounding area- Big Stone County 4-H for the month of June will be doing “ 4-H Summer Day Camps in a Box”. Each week on Fridays we will host a virtual day camp on zoom, do some fun activities, go over and demonstrate the weekly project. More info to follow. Swimming Pool.

As noted in our May 6th announcement,  the Council received a letter recommendation from Dr. Al Ross and took action on Monday night to not open the swimming pool this year.
